From my earliest memories, my favorite moments in life have almost exclusively been outside.
When in college, I was able to get my first experience in outdoor education and was immediately hooked. Since starting my career here at Toyon, I’ve fallen more and more in love with the world of experiential education, specifically with an oceanographic focus. Outside of working on a beautiful rock, some of my passions include taking pictures of pretty people and places, making late afternoon lattes, and playing Beyoncé as loud as socially acceptable.
The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure….He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he’s always doing both.
